New family planning regulation of Sichuan Province will be enacted after some alterations made to the regulation. Major leaders of the provinces' family planning institution ask various departments to carry out the regulation.

In order to implement the Law on Family Planning of People's Republic of China effected in September 1, Sichuan province made a revision to its family planning regulation, along with the new regulation, the province also established another two related regulations.

The new regulation will emphasize people's lawful rights.

The new regulation made amendments to some articles, for example, it revokes one child approval system, birth-bearing women can choose birth time, pensioned couples who are both single can get pension after being retired, etc.

The new regulation further strengthens duties of various governments. It emphasizes that county level governments should set up family planning institutions, and village level should have staffs for family planning work to be carried out.
