(cnhubei.com) Participants attending International Forum on Population and Development planted trees yesterday morning at the beach of  East Lake in commemoration of the Forum.

62 trees representing various countries and international organizations were planted in a Peace and Development garden.

The statue of Wang Zhaojun, a Hubei beauty in Han dynasty was put in the garden. Wang was peace-carrier Han and Xiongnu people and participants hoped that their hopes for peace and development would come true.
