Mr. Shakil Durrani PAKISTAN is currently responsible for planning and developing policies for Population We]fare Programme, Monitoring & Evaluation, negotiation of Project memorandums and agreements with international donors and other countries, submission of proposals for legislation to the Federal Cabinet and coordination with other sectors, Ministries, NGOs and Private sector for promotion of population programme.
He joined Civil Service of Pakistan (CSP) in November 1971 in District Management Group by securing the first position in Pakistan in the Central Superior Services Examination. He did Masters in Political Science in 1969 from the Punjab University, Pakistan and Masters in National Development (Economics) and Project Planning in 1980 from the University of Bradford, United Kingdom. He received extensive short and long term trainings in various disciplines of Administration, Management, Laws, Economics, Crisis Management, Environment Economics and Policy Planning from reputed National and International Universities.
Mr. Shakil Durrani is also the Director of Worldwide Fund for Nature, Regional Director of Species Survival Group of Intemational Union for Conservation of Nature and a Member of the Environment Protection Foundation (Peshawar) and Kalaash Environment Protection Society.
