(cnhubei.com) Central China’s Hubei Province saw 5.3663 million visitor arrivals and over 1.615 billion Yuan (US$ 195.5 million) of tourism revenue in the week-long May Day holiday golden week, up 11.38 and 15.6 percent year-on-year respectively, according to the provincial holiday office.
Both the revenue and number of tourists set a historic high.
Wuhan, capital city of the province and Yichang, where the renowned Three Gorge is located received over 40% of the visitors.
The revenue of catering business in Wuhan totaled 286 million Yuan (US$34.6 million), a year-on year increase of 14.4%
