(cnhubei.com) Miao Wei, the former general manager of Dongfeng Group, was appointed Secretary of Wuhan Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on May 26, 2005.

Miao Wei delivered a speech after the appointment. He vowed to serve Wuhan people and strive for a more prosperous Wuhan.

Miao Wei, male, Han nationality, was born in l955. Miao has spent his career in the automobile industry, working in sales, production and engineering before rising to the leadership of the Dongfeng Automobile Corporation. He was also deputy secretary of the CPC committee at the corporation and holds the rank of senior engineer.
