(cnhubei.com) Hubei’s bid to the UNESCO for listing the Wudang Mountain into the World Natural Heritage has been quickened.
Located in central China’s Hubei Province, Wudang has excellent natural landscape and unique plant resources, which accord with World Natural Heritage criterions. Jing Feng, official in charge of World Heritage project Asian braches agreed that Wudang can apply.
Wudang was listed as World Cultural Heritage in 1994 and attracted 500, 000 tourists annually.
World Heritage is the designation for places on earth that are of outstanding universal value to humanity and as such, have been inscribed on the World Heritage List to be protected for future generations to appreciate and enjoy.
