An egg factory in Hankou of Wuhan

The egg factory, built by German Melchers Corporation, was put into production in 1887 with albumen powder and yolk powder, marking the beginning of Wuhan’s egg industry. Other factories were also set up to manufacture egg products which became one of the most important export products in Wuhan.
