(english.cnhubei.com) The grounding ceremony for Foxconn Technologic Industrial Garden was held in Wuhan, capital city of central China’s Hubei Province on April 2, 2007,marking the beginning of the city’s largest high-tech industrial project.

The project is a symbol that Hubei’s high-tech industry enters a new stage of development.

Foxconn Ltd, the Taiwan technology giant, will invest US$1 billion in the project to build an industrial garden to manufacture digit cameras and personal computers.

The industrial garden is estimated to bring annual output value of 100 billion Yuan (US$ 12.5 billion) and job opportunities of 150,000 to local people.
