Colleges experience back-to-school peak period | 大学生返校高峰来了

Dozens of local universitiesushered in their back-to-schoolperiod on Feb. 19 and 20,during which the number ofstudents traveling to and fromHankou Railway Station reacheda peak.

数十所在汉高校在2月19日至20日迎来返校季。汉口火车站也随之迎来出发、到达返校学生高峰。

To manage the peak period,the number of trains operatingalong Wuhan Metro Line 2 wasincreased from 56 to 60, andthe operational interval adjustedfrom 3.4 to 2.9 minutes.

同时，为迎接开学季，地铁2号线上线列车数由56车增加至60车，列车运行间隔分别由原来的3.4分钟调整到2.9分钟。

Though passenger flowincreased, fewer long queueswere seen at the HankouRailway Station stop of line 2.According to the staff there,passengers from other cities usedto queue up to buy one-waytickets during the peak period,but the number was largelyreduced this term because of theQR code payment system thatwas introduced on several appslast year.

客流量增加，但武汉地铁汉口火车站排队现象却减少了。2号线汉口火车站工作人员表示，以前每逢大客流，许多外地乘客要排队购买单程票，自从去年可以使用第三方刷码乘车后，排队买票的现象就没有了。

This year, some colleges and universities adopted astaggered schedule to avoid largegatherings. For example, thereturn date of undergraduates inCentral China Normal Universitywas Feb. 20, while that ofpostgraduates was Feb. 21.

部分高校今年采取错峰返校。例如华中师范大学本科生返校时间为2月20日，研究生返校时间为2月21日。
