Yuehu Scenic Area under renovation | 月湖风景区改造升级

Renovation of the YuehuScenic Area, hailed as "themost beautiful living room ofthe city," began recently.

23日，被誉为“城市最美客厅”的月湖风景区正在改造升级。

The scenic area was builtand opened to the public in2007. As its name Yuehu(Moon Lake) suggests, there isa lake in the area. Thelegendary story about theclose friendship between YuBoya and Zhong Ziqihappened at the GuqinTerrace by the bank of thelake.

月湖风景区于2007年建成开放，月湖因古代却月城得名。俞伯牙和钟子期“高山流水觅知音”的故事就发生在月湖畔的古琴台。

The renovation will makefull use of the existing garden and building resources tosatisfy both commercial andpublic demands. The 8,000-square-meter central lawn, forexample, can be used both aswedding venues and as a freepublic space for sun-basking,camping, and other leisureactivities. The renovation willalso utilize plants to create aquiet atmosphere that remindspeople of "high mountains and flowing waters." Specifically, willows and cherry trees will be plantedaround the terrace and otherareas surrounding the lake.

此次改造充分利用了原有的园林或建筑资源，且建成后能满足承接商业活动和大众休闲双重需求。比如8000平方米的中央大草坪，既是浪漫的草坪婚礼场所，也是市民晒太阳、搭帐篷、户外休闲的免费场所。用植物造景，烘托出“高山流水觅知音”的幽静氛围，例如在古琴台周围和沿湖区域，栽种柳树和樱花。
